Vaboo, the customer rewards platform, and Propflo have partnered to support tenants in understanding their property’s energy efficiency.
As part of the partnership, Vaboo will now feature Propflo’s GreenVal energy efficiency report for free to help tenants save money on their energy bills.
Propflo will also offer Vaboo on its platform as a way of engaging and incentivising tenants to make upgrades.
With the Government pressing ahead with new minimum energy efficiency standards for the private and social rented sectors, £250bn investment is required to bring UK properties up to standard and 80,000 homes need to be retrofitted per month.
Many tenants are also unaware that they may be eligible for significant grant funding to pay for the upgrades.
Propflo identifies grant criteria and improvement partners are then able to apply for funding on behalf of the tenant and landlord.
Tenants using the Vaboo platform can view how much energy they can save and check if they are eligible for grant funding, send the report to their landlord to get quotes for a wide range of home improvements, and gain insight into the impact a property can have on personal wellbeing, by rating contributing factors such as thermal comfort, air quality, and financial health.
