Essex holiday homes offer savings of up to 185%, research reveals

Park Holidays UK has revealed locations in Essex as prime spots for affordable holiday homeownership, showing that buyers can save significantly compared to traditional property prices.

The research found that holiday homes in Seawick and St Oysth Beach, Essex, allow buyers to save 185% compared to an average property price of over £356,000, resulting in potential savings of over £340,000.

Bowland Fell in Yorkshire ranked third, with savings of around 182%.

Other locations offering savings include Glendale in Cumbria (181%) and Harts in Kent (175%).

The largest absolute savings occur at Solent Breezes in Hampshire, where holiday homes cost £54,422 compared to the average local property price of £491,578, allowing for savings of £437,156.

Wood Farm in Dorset offer similar benefits, with savings of £466,264.
