Ghelamco UK has started the main construction phase of The HiLight, a £140m regeneration project on the Battersea Waterfront.
The development, designed by Squire & Partners, features a 24-storey residential tower and 177 mixed tenure apartments.
The site is located off York Road, on the former Prices Candle Factory.
The scheme includes a public green, landscaped riverwalk, commercial buildings, and 24-hour concierge.
Construction work started in Q2 2024, with demolition and clearance works completed.
The main construction phase has now begun, with the topping out of the tower scheduled for late 2025.
The internal fit out is expected to start in summer 2025, and final build completion is due in Q2 2026.
113 market sale luxury apartments will be located above the ninth floor, including penthouses.
All units will have a light-filled interior with large principal rooms and living/dining areas opening onto outside balconies.
The HiLight is designed with a holistic approach to sustainability, incorporating features such as electric appliances for heating and cooling, water-efficient toilets, and air-source heat pumps.
The construction is being led by Ghelamco UK’s in-house team, which has a proven track record in high-rise construction.
