The inaugural Intermediary Pulse survey, with research analysis by Grey Matter Marketing Solutions, has ranked Halifax top for overall broker experience out of the six leading UK lenders.
Nearly half of brokers surveyed said that Halifax delivered a ‘superb’ broker experience.
Outside of the top six lenders, Accord, Coventry BS and Skipton led for broker experience, each with between 25% and 30% of brokers stating that their experience was superb.
Jeff Knight, director at Grey Matter Marketing Solutions, said: “It was perhaps no surprise that Halifax led the way with Broker Experience and good to see strong performance from brands outside the top six.
“It was also interesting to see just how many different specialist lenders are be used by different brokers.
“It was clear that there are huge opportunities for specialist lenders who can adapt and begin to approach the market differently to gain more market share growth.”
Other findings from Pulse included that Aldermore was the most used specialist lender in 2024, closely followed by Precise.
Pepper Money is the brand most front of mind when it came to adverse credit, specifically.
The report also found opportunities for lenders in the specialist sectors to enhance brand positioning and perceptions, and grow market share.
