Offa expands team with key appointments

Offa, the UK’s Islamic property finance fintech, has expanded its team with several appointments.

Mehreen Rafiq has joined as senior underwriter, bringing experience from her previous roles at Barclays.

Shamila Kausar takes on the position of customer service officer, with a background in banking and client support.

Aamna Khan steps into the role of operations team lead, having previously worked at HSBC.

Shamim Rahman, with experience from Precise Mortgages, joins as mortgage underwriter.

Abdullah-Isa Amole is financial planning and analysis manager, while Sukhdev Atwal becomes the financial controller, leveraging over a decade of accounting experience.

Sagheer Malik, chief commercial officer and managing director of retail finance, said: “It has been a big year of growth for Offa, with the launch of our fast and easy buy-to-let product and our acquisition of Bank of Ireland’s Alburaq home finance book.

“Having the right team to provide the consistently high levels of customer service and industry experience we insist upon is crucial, and that is why I am so proud of every new member of staff we have hired.”
