Reapit held a briefing in Westminster on (12th February 2025), discussing the Renters’ Rights Bill with estate and letting agencies, including Savills, John D Wood & Co. and Leaders Romans Group.
The event focused on the challenges and opportunities arising from the upcoming changes to the private rented sector (PRS).
Speakers, including Kevin Hollinrake MP, the Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, David Smith, a legal expert from JMW, and Simon Darby, a political consultant from PLMR, answered questions regarding the legislation’s impact.
Reapit also showcased changes to its platform in preparation for the Bill’s implementation, expected in the autumn.
A follow-up webinar on Reapit IQ will detail the steps letting agents should take.
Dr Neil Cobbold (pictured), commercial director at Reapit, said “The Renters’ Rights Bill represents one of the most significant changes to the lettings industry in decades.
“With some provisions potentially coming into effect as early as September, agents must be proactive in preparing.
“There are plenty of challenges including tenancy reforms and eviction changes, but there are also many opportunities for agents to make a real impact on their tenants’ and landlords’ experience by acting as their trusted industry expert.”
Cobbold added: “At Reapit, we’re committed to supporting the industry every step of the way with the right tech and training, to ensure agents can navigate these changes with confidence and continue delivering outstanding service.”
