Zita Latham to launch independent brokerage after successful tenure at The Mortgage Mum

Zita Latham (pictured, left) is set to leave The Mortgage Mum today (21st February 2025) after three and a half years to establish her own company, Zita Latham Mortgages, as an appointed representative (AR).

Latham cited significant business growth as a reason for going independent.

Before joining The Mortgage Mum, she worked at Barclays and Nationwide Building Society and was a finalist in the ‘Broker – Overall’ category at The British Mortgage Awards last year.

The venture will be a family business with her husband, Jarrod Latham (pictured, right), joining as a broker.

Jarrod Latham is an experienced financial services professional with a background at HSBC, Santander and Lloyds, working with high net worth individuals and companies with turnovers of £25m to £500m.

Zita Latham said they plan to offer excellent service, experience, and technology, including launching their own mobile app.

She also aims to continue expanding in the foreign nationals market in the UK, a sector in which she has already gained a market share, emphasising her and Jarrod’s backgrounds as foreign nationals from Hungary and New Zealand, respectively.

Zita Latham said: “Launching Zita Latham Mortgages is a huge milestone in my successful mortgage advising career.

“Over the years I have helped many clients achieve their financial goals and their dream of home ownership.”

She added: “Through building long lasting client relationships I have built a trusted brand and now I wish to grow this further by building a strong team around me.

“Zita Latham Mortgages are entrepreneurial mortgage brokers with a modern approach – we utilise modern technology and communication methods, social media, we operate all over the UK, we are down to earth, approachable and flexible and most importantly we put clients into the heart of everything we do.”

Jarrod Latham said: “Seeing Zita grow her business has inspired me to be part of it and help scale it further, I will get a huge amount of satisfaction helping people buy their own home and with over two decades of client facing financial service experience I’m confident I can really make a difference to my clients”
