Acre expands Nationwide integration to support more complex mortgage cases

Acre has announced an upgrade to its integration with Nationwide for Intermediaries, enabling brokers to handle a wider variety of case types and further streamlining the mortgage application process.

The update allows brokers using the Acre platform to serve more complex clients, including the self-employed, foreign nationals, and those seeking interest-only mortgages. The enhanced integration, built on Nationwide’s latest API, also offers the ability to reserve products and download a decision-in-principle (DIP) certificate directly to case documents, improving workflow and efficiency.

Acre has also launched enhanced pre-submission checks that verify all case data before submission, helping brokers avoid the need to rekey information. This upgrade, powered by Acre’s proprietary verification engine, alerts brokers when a case is ready for DIP, allowing them to move swiftly toward full application.

Justus Brown, founder and CEO of Acre, said: “Homebuyers and those wishing to remortgage want a quick mortgage decision. We are constantly evolving our platform to find new ways to reduce any friction in the mortgage journey. Our partnership with Nationwide is rooted in a belief that technology makes the task of securing the best-fit mortgage simpler and faster. Today’s development is indicative of our shared mission as well as a relationship that continues to go from strength to strength.”

Andy Tilsley, head of intermediary digital at Nationwide Building Society, added: “It is crucial that we make it easier for brokers to do business with us and, through our partnership with Acre, we are improving the digital broker journey. Today’s announcement marks steps in enhancing the day-to-day experience with us and signifies our long-term collaboration with Acre.”
