Landmark Information Group and Barbour ABI have launched a new planning application programming interface (API) to speed up data-driven developments.
The API aims to streamline processes for land and property professionals, providing planning alerts to highlight opportunities and risks.
It offers access to a high-quality data set, supporting professionals in making informed decisions and enhancing due diligence.
The Planning API also provides 19 unique data attributes, with planning data from 1997 onwards and API data from 2017, updated daily.
Additionally, it integrates easily with existing systems without requiring additional skills or tools, allowing users to efficiently search data based on application size, cost, and industry.
Josh Rains, managing director at Landmark Geodata, said: “This Planning API represents a significant step forward in how property and planning professionals’ access and use data.
“By delivering richer, high-quality insights directly into existing workflows, we’re enabling faster, smarter decision-making at every stage of the development process.
“As the UK accelerates its efforts to meet housing and infrastructure targets, this data accessibility will be instrumental in helping developers, planners, and consultants stay ahead of the curve with data they can trust.”
David Buckley, managing director at Barbour ABI, said: “We are delighted to launch this partnership with Landmark at a time when planning and construction has never been more front and centre of the UK growth agenda.
“Barbour ABI‘s pedigree project intelligence combined with Landmark’s brilliance in geospatial technology unlocks a winning combination for clients.”
