Manchester house sales took an average of 142.72 days over the past year, according to data from Property Solvers.
Its speed of sale tool found it took about 20.39 weeks to complete transactions, based on 881 sales from March 2024 to March 2025.
The quickest areas to sell a property were Manchester (M9), Manchester (M41), and Manchester (M40), where homes sold in an average of 125.30 days (17.90 weeks).
These postcodes had a minimum of 10 sales in the dataset.
In Manchester, M9 saw properties sell in 115 days across 20 sales, M41 at 120 days over 56 sales, and M40 at 121 days with 25 sales.
Conversely, the slowest sale postcodes were Manchester (M32), Manchester (M16), and Manchester (M23).
Within the slower markets, properties took an average of 152.60 days (21.80 weeks) to sell, based on a similar minimum data set.
Specifically, properties in M32 took 160 days on average for 25 sales, M16 took 159 days for 10 sales, and M23 took 158 days over 23 sales.
Ruban Selvanayagam of Property Solvers said: “While Manchester’s sale times remain in line with historical trends, there are encouraging signs that greater adoption of tech-driven efficiencies by industry stakeholders will help reduce transaction lengths.
