MBE North 2025 announces full seminar programme for Manchester event

Mortgage Business Expo (MBE), the leading event for financial intermediaries, has confirmed the full seminar line-up for MBE North 2025, set to take place on 28th March at Manchester Central. The event will bring together brokers, lenders, and key industry figures for a day of networking, professional development, and market insights.

Ken Clark, deputy agent for the North West at the Bank of England, will deliver the keynote address, offering an expert macroeconomic outlook on the UK housing and mortgage markets. The event will also host the Financial Intermediary and Broker Association (FIBA) Annual Conference, reinforcing MBE’s role as a key gathering for specialist finance professionals.

The exhibition will feature leading lenders including Atom bank, Fleet Mortgages, Gatehouse Bank, and Precise, providing brokers with direct access to a diverse range of mortgage products and lending solutions.

Mike Mikunda, event director for MBE, said: “MBE North has become a must-attend event for financial intermediaries, and we’re delighted to reveal such a strong seminar programme for 2025. With expert speakers, real-time market insights, and a packed exhibition floor, this year’s event promises to be one of our best yet. We look forward to welcoming brokers, lenders, and industry leaders to Manchester Central on 28 March.”

The main stage programme will cover key topics including market trends, specialist property finance, buy-to-let challenges, affordability issues, and later-life lending. Speakers include senior figures from SimplyBiz Mortgages, Atom bank, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Hampshire Trust Bank, OneSavings Bank, and Octane Capital.

In addition, Theatre 2 will host specialist and technology-focused sessions, including discussions on fintech innovation and the role of AI in the mortgage industry, marketing strategies for brokers, and a Q&A session with FIBA experts.

Martin Reynolds, chief executive officer of SimplyBiz Mortgages and FIBA chairman, said: “The mortgage and specialist lending markets continue to evolve at pace, and events like MBE North provide a crucial platform for brokers and lenders to stay ahead. This year’s seminar sessions will highlight not only the challenges but also the vast opportunities available, offering attendees valuable insights into the industry as a whole.”
