Saffron Building Society joins LMS panel

LMS has formed a new partnership with Saffron Building Society, making it the 42nd lender to join its LMS Panel Link.

This platform allows for digitised case progression by connecting lenders with vetted law firms that meet particular quality and compliance criteria.

Saffron Building Society aims to simplify the home-buying process and will benefit from enhanced security and efficiency, improving customer experiences.

Saffron Building Society will implement Secure Link, which includes a knowledge base of lender-approved FAQs to reduce post-offer conveyancing queries.

If a query remains unresolved, a conversation thread can be initiated between the law firm and the lender.

This feature reduces the typical turnaround time for law firms from two days to as little as two hours.

Charge Registration is another service Saffron Building Society will utilise, providing real-time updates from Her Majesty’s Land Registry (HMLR) to allow for easy tracking of cases.

Brent Jackson, head of member services at Saffron Building Society, said: “Our aim as a lender is to provide our customers with the best possible mortgage experience.

“Therefore, we’re excited to partner with LMS, utilising their network of law firms and services, such as Charge Registration, to provide slicker transactions for our customers.

“When we can speed up repetitive and time-consuming processes, this frees up more time for us to focus on our customers.”

Suzanne O’Connor, chief relationship officer at LMS, said: “As ever, forming a new partnership provides a moment for us to celebrate, particularly when welcoming a well-established lender, such as Saffron Building Society, to our panel of trusted law firms.

“Onboarding a lender highlights that more and more key stakeholders in the mortgage market are seeking ways to further digitalise their processes, connecting and streamlining to suit the needs of today’s home buyers.

“LMS looks forward to collaborating with Saffron Building Society and enhancing the journey for its customers.”
