Fintel has confirmed the appointment of Tom Hegarty as the new chief executive officer of Simplybiz, with effect from 1 April 2025. Hegarty joins from M&G Wealth Advice, where he served as managing director and was instrumental in establishing The Advice Partnership and launching the M&G Wealth Advice Academy in 2021.
He previously held the role of managing director at the New Model Business Academy, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Fintel, then operating as the SimplyBiz Group. In that role, he helped to develop one of the UK’s first financial advice apprenticeship programmes. His return to Fintel brings with it extensive sector experience and a deep understanding of the group’s strategic goals.
