Market Harborough Building Society has donated £250,000 to its community foundation to support good causes in South Leicestershire and North Northamptonshire.
A significant portion of the funds will go towards ‘Thrive! Forward’, a programme focused on helping young people with mental health, financial capability, and career planning.
Kheron Gilpin, an English amateur cruiserweight boxing champion and motivational speaker, has been appointed as the programme’s ambassador.
Iain Kirkpatrick (pictured), CEO of Market Harborough, said: “Our commitment to the community is unwavering.
“Through the Thrive! Forward programme, we aim to empower young people with the skills and support they need to build a bright future.
“We’re excited to work with Kheron Gilpin and our community partners to make this vision a reality.”
Gilpin said: “I’m honoured to be part of the Thrive! Forward programme. Supporting young people in their journey to success is something I’m deeply passionate about.
“Market Harborough’s commitment to empowering youth aligns perfectly with my values, and together, we can make a real difference.”
