Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) North 2025 welcomed hundreds of brokers, lenders and intermediaries to Manchester’s Central Convention Complex on 28 March, with attendance up 9% on last year.
Visitors spent more time on the show floor this year, with early feedback pointing to increased engagement with exhibitors and well-attended seminar sessions throughout the day.
MBE North 2025 also continued its partnership with the Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA), who hosted their Spring Conference on-site.
MBE will return to London this autumn for its South event at the Business Design Centre on 14 October 2025.
Victoria Hartley, client services director at Square 1 Media, said: “From the packed session at the top of the day with Ken Clark through to sessions on affordability, green retrofit and the buy-to-let market, we saw high-quality engagement throughout.
“Lively Q&As and audience contributions added to a rewarding day.
“A special thank you to FIBA and Adam Tyler for his excellent chairing and to Paul Hunt, managing director at Square 1 Media, for curating such a well-balanced seminar programme. I’m already looking forward to next year.”
Martin Reynolds, chief executive officer of SimplyBiz Mortgages and FIBA chairman, added: “It was fantastic to see so many brokers and lenders under one roof at MBE North.
“The energy in the room reflected the appetite for learning, debate and collaboration in the intermediary market.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with MBE, and the co-location of our Spring Conference really made the day a valuable one for our members.”
Mike Mikunda, event director for Mortgage Business Expo, said: “We were pleased to see a rise in attendance and longer dwell time from visitors this year.
“There was a great buzz in the room, and feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike has been very positive.
“These events are all about creating the space for useful, face-to-face conversations and that’s exactly what MBE North delivered.”
