In March 2025, HM Land Registry processed 1.9 million applications, up from 1.8 million in February, higher than the 1.86 million applications recorded in March 2024.
The South East led all regions with 444,651 applications for the month.
Of the total, 295,653 were applications for register updates, up from 285,268 in February.
Requests for an official copy of a register reached 1,097,576, compared to 1,039,212 the month before.
Additionally, search and hold queries were recorded at 263,960, a rise from 181,553 in February.
Meanwhile, transactions for value totalled 83,730, up from 81,215 the previous month.
Postal applications from non-account holders stood at 15,564, also an increase from 13,742 in February.
