Avamore Capital has confirmed the appointment of Jacob Bouet Andersen as managing director – lending operations.
Andersen will lead the company’s credit function, overseeing underwriting, credit risk and portfolio management.
He joins from Hilltop Capital Partners, where he was head of transactions, and brings seven years of experience in real estate credit.
The appointment supports Avamore’s operational growth and follows the recent hire of Greg Tarn as managing director, origination and execution.
Andersen and Tarn will now lead day-to-day operations at the business, allowing co-founders Michael Dean and Zuhair Mirza to focus on long-term strategy.
Mirza said: “Jacob’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a business that balances strong credit discipline with commercial agility.
“He brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to lending which will strengthen our underwriting and asset management as we continue to scale.
“I’m excited to work with him and confident he will play a pivotal role in Avamore’s next phase of growth.”
Dean added: “I’m delighted to welcome Jacob to the team. He’s a highly capable and energetic professional who will bring a new level of rigour and leadership to our credit and asset management functions.
“With Jacob and Greg at the helm, we’re confident in the strength of our new management structure and excited about what’s ahead.”
Andersen said: “Avamore’s reputation for creativity and reliability in the market is well-earned. It is an exciting time in the market to be joining Avamore who has a strong appetite for credit and a solid foundation for growth.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that foundation and help shape the next chapter of the business.”
