Barnett Waddingham welcomes five new partners

Barnett Waddingham (BW) has appointed five new partners to support business growth and expansion in key markets.

The consultancy also promoted eight principals and 27 associates across risk, pensions, investment and insurance teams.

The five new partners are Lewys Curteis in DB pensions consulting, Julien Masselot in insurance and longevity consulting, Nikhil Patel in risk transfer consulting, Harshil Shah in risk and resilience services and Reena Tanna in DC investment consulting.

Andrew Vaughan (pictured), senior partner at Barnett Waddingham, said: “As we continue to grow and evolve following our recent acquisition by Howden, one thing remains constant: the core belief that our people are the key to our success and we are proud to recognise and nurture the exceptional talent at BW.

“The promotions highlight the strength, expertise, and influence these people have across our teams and the wider business.

“Supporting career progression remains a core part of our culture, and these appointments are not only a celebration of individual achievement – they also reflect the depth of talent in our teams that continue to drive our business forward on its fantastic trajectory of success.”

Jacqui Derrick, partner and head of people, Barnett Waddingham, said: “Our commitment to celebrating excellence and enabling people to progress at every stage of their career remains at the heart of BW.

“Our strong training and development programs help individuals achieve their full potential, and these appointments are testament to that.”

Seven partners have also retired this year, including Julia Bassett, Sue Foley, Paul Hamilton, John Hoskin, Colin Mayger, Graeme Muir and Zoe Smith.

Vaughan added: “We extend a big thank you to the partners who are retiring for their invaluable contributions over many years and their help in building our business.

“We wish them every happiness in the future.”
