Charter HCP and the University of West London (UWL) have launched the Pritchard Centre for Resilient Venture Firms to support ventures focused on long-term resilience.
The signing took place at UWL’s Ealing campus, with Terry Pritchard, director at Charter HCP and Professor Peter John CBE, vice chancellor and president of UWL, present.
In his keynote, Pritchard said resilience is what will set apart those who succeed from those who struggle in an unpredictable world.
Pritchard said: “Innovation, when it’s purpose-driven, inclusive and built for the long term, is the engine of resilience—enabling societies, businesses, and economies to adapt, recover and thrive in the face of disruption.”
The centre will help enterprises working on climate change, healthcare and pandemic preparedness, food security, disaster risk management, financial inclusion, cybersecurity, and social resilience.
The goal is to prepare these businesses for investment and help them scale resilience-focused solutions.
By bridging the gap between good ideas and funding, the Pritchard Centre will support the growth of companies addressing major global challenges.
The centre aims to make it easier for enterprises to access capital and build technologies that boost resilience across society.
