Keychain launches bridging and commercial workflows for specialist finance advisers

Keychain has launched new bridging and commercial workflows on its digital client platform for property finance advisers.

The update means the platform can now be used by brokers and firms working only in specialist finance, as well as those advising on mainstream mortgages and protection.

The new features include fact-finds tailored to bridging and commercial transactions, aiming to make data capture and document collection easier for complex property finance cases.

The system automates client chasing and uses artificial intelligence (AI) to check uploaded documents and flag any issues, which is designed to reduce the time advisers and admin teams spend gathering case files.

Jack Rogers (pictured), CEO at Keychain, said: “Bridging and commercial cases are among the most admin-heavy and time-pressured transactions in the market.

“Advisers need tools that are specifically built for these transactions, as legacy systems designed around the vanilla residential and BTL mortgage market just aren’t up to the job.

“We have expanded our platform, already used by hundreds of advisers in the residential and buy-to-let space, to give specialist finance firms a modern platform that genuinely makes their day-to-day lives easier.”

Mike Ward of MWMS said: “Since MWMS started using Keychain, it’s been a real game changer for our business.

“When providing bridging and commercial products, we are often required to provide an extensive but tailored request for documents.

“Keychain makes this process simple, fast, and efficient.”

Ashley Morley of Compare the Mortgage said: “The expansion of Keychain into bridging and commercial is fantastic news.

“These cases are often admin-heavy and time-sensitive. Having a platform that can be used entirely for specialist finance, or alongside a wider advice proposition, gives firms huge flexibility and efficiency gains.”

Mark Calvert of Park Hill Financial added: “Collecting data and documents for a commercial or bridging case can be very time-consuming, and this really does remove a lot of the headache from the process.

“If I was designing a fact-find and portal system, this is exactly how I would make it.”
