Reapit held its ‘Beyond the Basics’ artificial intelligence (AI) webinar on 24th July, drawing over 350 property professionals.
The session focused on how the property industry could move from automation to generative AI and agentic AI.
Attendees asked about the role of agents in an AI-enabled market, which areas of the industry would benefit most, and how AI could help with lead nurturing, maintenance, client communications, and compliance with new laws such as the Renters’ Rights Bill.
There were also questions on data privacy and security.
Kieran McGurk (pictured), product director at Reapit, said: “AI should support agents, not replace them.
“We’re also not building generic tools, but AI that understands estate agency, from valuations to lettings, compliance to customer care.
“Given current concerns about consumer privacy and enterprise data security, we recommend using only enterprise-grade AI tools and providing thorough training on responsible use.”
Kelly Mullins, product director at Reapit, said: “AI today is not just about replacing repetitive tasks with automation.
“And its potential goes beyond today’s generative AI, which relies on public or prompt-entered data to spot patterns and provide answers.
“Agentic AI learns continuously and can make decisions and act without being prompted.”
Mullins said agentic AI could be built into business systems to make real-time, goal-driven decisions, and that it can act for agents within set limits, allowing them to focus on deals and customer service.
Mullins added that an automated system might send a template response and notify the property manager.
She also explained that Agentic AI would understand the request, assess urgency, create a works order, and contact a contractor, moving from reaction to secure, informed action.
