City & Country expands technical team to drive housing delivery

City & Country has expanded its technical team this year to support new housing targets and planned growth.

Led by Adam Towers (pictured, centre right), technical director at City & Country, who joined in late 2024.

The bigger technical team is intended to make the early stages of development more efficient.

New specialist roles have been created to make the transition between pre-construction and design teams smoother.

Recent hires include regional technical manager Amanda Daly (pictured, centre left), who has 26 years of experience in site management and technical roles.

Daly has worked at head of technical, senior technical manager and technical manager level, across contracting and development, with experience in refurbishment, commercial, RC frame and modern construction methods.

Daly also has experience with building safety regulations and new building regulation compliance, focusing on buildability and cost.

Daniel Condren (pictured, far left), strategic design manager, has been with City & Country for around nine years and has over 15 years’ experience with developers and technical consultancies.

Condren moved from regional design manager and is now focused on the link between pre-construction, planning and technical teams.

Regional design manager Lee Kirtland (pictured, far right), who has been with the business for over three years, brings 20 years of experience in design and technical roles in residential development.

Kirtland leads delivery across the East, including Priory Fields, Sanderling Reach and Manningtree Park in Essex, as well as the King’s Collection, King Edwards VII Estate – West Sussex.

Towers said: “With major government regulations, including the upcoming Future Homes Standard, set to reshape the housing sector, it’s vital that technical detail is baked in from the very start of a development.

“City & Country excels in its design and architect-led approach to development, and by expanding our technical team we can complement this with a strong knowledge of the technical specification and detail of housebuilding.

“Our growing team brings strong experience from across the industry, enabling us to take on even more and we are looking forward to getting stuck into new projects throughout the year.”

Daly said: “It’s been so rewarding to join a team that places such a strong emphasis on the quality and design of a home.

“City & Country’s blend of heritage restoration and new-build development offers an opportunity like no other to be creative with our technical design.

“It’s a great time to be joining as the business looks to grow, and I’m proud to be on that journey.”
