Computershare Loan Services and The Deposit Protection Service (The DPS) Charity Fund have donated £40,000 to youth homelessness charity Depaul UK for the fifth year in a row.
This brings the total given since 2020 to £200,000.
Depaul UK said the donation will help fund crisis intervention, safe housing and mental health support for young people.
The charity added that the money also goes towards financial education and money management for its clients.
Sam Dunne, head of corporate partnerships at Depaul UK, said: “We are seeing increasingly high numbers of young people without a safe place to stay or a family network to fall back on seeking help from our services.
“This support from Computershare means we can respond to emergencies and help young people build stable, independent lives.
“We want homelessness to be something our clients pass through rather than something that defines them or their future.”
Andrew Jones, CEO at Computershare Loan Services, said: “We are very proud to continue our support for Depaul UK at a time of high youth homelessness.
“Our support of the charity is very popular with our employees who are highly supportive of the important work it undertakes.”
Matt Trevett, managing director at The DPS, said: “Depaul’s support for some of the most vulnerable in society at a key turning point in their lives is inspiring, and I’m very pleased we can again provide them with a donation.”
