Homes England has appointed Amy Rees CB as CEO to lead delivery of 1.5 million new homes this Parliament.
Rees brings experience from senior public sector roles, most recently as CEO of His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and interim permanent secretary at the Ministry of Justice.
Rees will report to the Homes England board and be accountable to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Housing Minister and Parliament.
Her responsibilities include overseeing a regional operating model to improve housing results across England and managing the launch of the new National Housing Bank, set to unlock over £53bn of private investment.
She will also lead cultural transformation, ensure sound stewardship of public funds and strengthen partnerships with local and national Government.
Rees will start her new role on 8th September 2025.
