Instamo has launched an intermediary portal application programming interface (API) designed to help lenders offer brokers a new way to submit mortgage applications online.
The system lets brokers submit applications quickly without lenders needing to rebuild their existing platforms.
The lender portal API lets lenders turn their current portal into a secure, standards-based API endpoint.
Each submission starts with a logged-in advisor and takes place on-screen, with Instamo’s automation working to validate, extract and translate the data for each lender’s own fields.
All data is encrypted end-to-end and only available to the originating firm.
The system was built to comply with regulatory requirements and lender-specific platform rules.
Freddie Savundra, director at Instamo, said: “Building an API that mirrors your lender portal—replicating every validation, dependency, and exception path—is incredibly complex and costly.
“That’s in part why it’s taken so long for mainstream lenders to bring a solution to market. Instamo’s Lender Portal API sidesteps that: it wraps your existing portal and turns it into an API, effectively overnight.
“Brokers get the efficiency of direct connectivity and zero re-keying, while lenders avoid the cost, risk, and disruption of a full rebuild.”
Savundra added: “It’s the bridge between today’s infrastructure and tomorrow’s expectations.”
