Miller has appointed Paul Cumberland as chief broking officer, a new global role reporting to group chief executive James Hands.
Cumberland brings over 25 years’ experience in broking, underwriting and portfolio management.
He has held senior roles at Aon, Markel and Marsh, and was most recently executive director at Howden.
In that post he led on portfolio analytics and optimisation, delegated placement, market consultancy and strategic trading.
In this new role, Cumberland will head up Miller’s strategic market engagement, data-led work and service improvements.
