Mortgage Marketing Forum to relaunch in October under new ownership

A rebooted Mortgage Marketing Forum is set to launch in October, focused on peer group networking, marketing, technology and business culture for marketing professionals across the mortgage sector.

Matt Smith, managing director at wpb, will now oversee the Forum’s commercial operations.

He will be supported by financial journalist Sarah Davidson, Metro Money columnist and head of research at wpb and Charlee McLaughlin, wpb’s head of client engagement.

Smith said: “The Forum will turn its focus to providing year-round events online, blending subject matter experts, high-level experienced guests, research insights and exclusive networking opportunities, reinforcing its commitment to building, challenging, and equipping tomorrow’s mortgage marketers.”

There will be a greater emphasis on peer support, new technology and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, commercial business skills and learning from both in and outside the mortgage market.

The Forum has a broad membership of subscribers from large banks, specialist lenders and building societies and aims to grow its user base.

The change of direction follows the departure of the Forum’s founder Jeff Knight in June to pursue other opportunities. He remains a silent shareholder.

Smith added: “We will be offering the same great service but plan to shift the Forum’s focus to reflect our members’ needs in today’s market.”
