RAW Capital Partners has successfully issued a buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage to an international borrower to help them exit receivership and regain control of their property.
The Guernsey-based investment management firm specialises in delivering mortgage solutions for foreign nationals, UK expats, and Channel Islanders, through the RAW Mortgage Fund.
In this case, the client – a Chinese national who is the CFO for a Chinese manufacturing business – owned a property at Gauging Square, London, E1W 2AW.
Their previous lender had communicated poorly around interest rate changes, which led to a default scenario and the appointment of receivers.
Facing the potential loss of the property, the borrower required a swift solution, and their broker turned to RAW Capital Partners.
RAW Capital Partners assessed the situation and worked closely with the receivers and the existing lender to agree a like-for-like refinance, ensuring an orderly exit that protected the borrower’s interests and satisfied all parties.
After completing thorough due diligence, RAW Capital Partners was able to issue a loan worth £429,000 at 55% loan-to-value (LTV).
