The Brightstar Group has confirmed the full speaker programme for its Specialist Lending Expo 2025, which takes place on Thursday 2nd October in Stratford, East London.
The CPD-accredited event, which sold out in its inaugural year, will open with a keynote address from Darren Winder of Lazarus Economics & Strategy. His session, UK Economic Outlook: Getting There, will examine the economic trends shaping the mortgage and property markets.
The first panel, The Move Makers: The Big Debate, will bring together Brightstar Group chief executive Rob Jupp, Adrian Moloney of OSB Group, Stephen Todd of VAS Group, Joshua Elash of MT Finance, and David Whittaker of Keystone Property Finance to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
A leadership interview will follow, with William Lloyd-Hayward, chief operating officer at Brightstar, in conversation with Peter Brodnicki, chief executive of Mortgage Advice Bureau, on the evolution of mortgage advice and intermediary innovation. Later in the day, a panel session titled Do You Think I’m Sexy? Pulling Power will address recruitment, diversity and the appeal of careers in the mortgage sector, featuring Clare Jupp of Brightstar, Louisa Sedgwick of Paragon Bank, Richard Merrett of Alexander Hall, Stephanie Charman of AMI, and Andrew Montlake of Coreco.
The event will also host 20 specialist lenders and providers, a networking zone and interactive breakout sessions.
Jupp said: “We promised a speaker line-up that would match the ambition of the event, and this agenda truly delivers. These are the most respected and influential figures in our market, and we’re proud to be creating a platform where real debate and meaningful insight can take place. If you’re a broker working in or considering specialist lending, this is the one day you need to be out of the office.”
