Charterpoint has sold its care home site at Vistry’s Westcombe Park in Heybridge, near Maldon, Essex, to LNT Care Developments.
Planning permission was granted in the summer for a 66-bedroom, three-storey care home, which will offer residential and dementia care.
The sale allows work to start on the new building.
Charterpoint will now focus on detailed plans for the neighbourhood centre at Westcombe Park.
This includes later living apartments, a health centre, a convenience store, retail units and a day nursery.
