Furness Building Society has announced the return of Phil Lawford to its broker-facing mortgage team.
Lawford rejoins Furness following a five-year hiatus during which he spent time in similar roles at Saffron Building Society and Tipton & Coseley Building Society.
He had been at Furness Building Society for almost six years prior to that, working with brokers as part of the intermediaries team.
Lawford now reprises his role at the Cumbrian-based building society where he will be working alongside Emma Saint and Helen Thistlethwaite to help brokers across the Midlands and South secure mortgages for homebuyers.
Jonathan Cartlidge, head of member and broker strategy, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Phil back into the Furness fold.
“We know from experience he is a highly adept and successful business development manager who will provide invaluable support to our Intermediaries team.
“I look forward to him contributing to our growth across the market through the exceptional service we offer to brokers.”
Lawford, business development manager at Furness Building Society, added: “I’m thrilled to be returning to Furness and be reconnecting with brokers across the Midlands and South of England.
“Furness Building Society has a well-earned reputation for personal service and flexibility and I know first-hand the value that strong, supportive relationships bring to brokers and homebuyers.”
