Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries opens full residential mortgage range to brokers in Scotland

Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries has confirmed that its residential mortgage products are now open to the whole of market in Scotland.

The Society said the move forms part of its wider strategy to broaden broker choice and increase access to manually underwritten lending.

Brokers across Scotland will now be able to access the lender’s full range of residential products, including Income Flex, Credit Flex and Core.

The lender confirmed there are no changes to criteria, meaning Scottish borrowers will benefit from the same proposition already available in England and Wales.

Features include support for self-employed applicants with one year’s accounts, skilled worker visa applicants with no minimum UK residency or income requirements, JBSP and lending into retirement, up to 95% LTV on selected products, and manual underwriting without credit scoring.

The announcement follows an initial limited launch through PMS Mortgage Club and Sesame Network earlier this summer, when Hinckley & Rugby first introduced its Scottish residential offering. The Society also confirmed that buy-to-let products will be available.

Laura Sneddon, head of mortgage sales and distribution at Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries, said: “Brokers in Scotland have been asking us for more options, so it’s great to now open our full range to the whole of market.

“We know there are many clients with complex or non-standard needs who struggle to find the right fit, and our approach is about looking at each case on its own terms.

“Expanding access means more brokers can make use of our products, and more customers can benefit from the kind of flexible lending we pride ourselves on.”
