This month marks the second anniversary of Lomond’s partnership with Centrepoint, the youth homelessness charity.
Since the beginning of the partnership, Lomond has raised over £110,000 to support the charity’s mission of giving vulnerable young people a future.
Fundraising has been undertaken by employees at all levels within the group; from team activities, such as Centrepoint’s flagship event Sleep Out, spin-a-thons and sports days to independent fitness challenges, as well as the raffle at the annual Lomond Awards ceremony.
Most recently, three regions undertook three lengthy walks; the Great London Bridges Challenge, 7 Hills of Edinburgh and the Kent Coastal Walk, raising nearly £12,000 in a single weekend.
Ed Phillips, group chief executive of Lomond, said: “Two years into our partnership with Centrepoint, I’m incredibly proud of the commitment and drive our teams have shown.
“Raising over £110,000 is a fantastic milestone – but more importantly, it represents thousands of nights of safe accommodation, counselling and support for young people facing homelessness.
“Thank you to everyone who has walked, run, donated or cheered us on – together, we’re making a meaningful difference.”
Michael Winehouse, Centrepoint’s head of relationship fundraising, added: “It has been amazing to see how much everyone at Lomond cares about the work we do at Centrepoint and how that passion is reflected in the range of fundraising activates they’ve taken part in over the past two years.
“Reaching £110,000 is a huge milestone, and the whole team should be incredibly proud.
“This money will help Centrepoint continue making a real difference to the lives of young people we support and bring us one step closer to ending youth homelessness for good.”
