Maryhill Housing has appointed Paul Hillard as chair following its 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week.
Hillard joined the board in 2024, bringing experience in the registered social landlord sector as a senior staff member and consultant.
He takes over from Lindsay Forrest, who stepped down after four years as chair.
During Forrest’s time as chair, Maryhill Housing completed three new developments, delivering over 100 homes.
The organisation also acquired more than 50 properties in partnership with Glasgow City Council to help tackle homelessness.
Hillard said: “It’s a real honour to take on the chair position at Maryhill Housing.
“I know its heritage as a community anchor organisation serving in one of Scotland’s most vibrant and diverse areas.
“Maryhill Housing is in the position to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our customers and communities and I’m excited by the opportunities this presents.”
Forrest said: “It has been an honour to serve as chair over the last four years.
“These have been challenging times for all, and I want to thank the Board members and staff who supported me throughout.
“Maryhill Housing’s vision is to deliver great homes in thriving communities, and I have every confidence in my colleagues to carry this forward.”
Rebecca Wilson, CEO at Maryhill Housing, said: “Lindsay has been a fantastic chair, guiding Maryhill Housing through some truly difficult periods.
“She has been a tremendous support to the board and staff, and on behalf of everyone at Maryhill Housing, I want to thank her for her dedication and commitment.”
