Norton Home Loans promotes Jake Stringer to telephone BDM role

Norton Home Loans has promoted Jake Stringer to the role of Telephone Business Development Manager, adding further strength to its intermediary support team.

Stringer, who began his new position on 4th August, has progressed through three roles at Norton, starting in administration before moving into underwriting.

In his new role, he will act as a dedicated contact for brokers, providing case updates, criteria guidance and support with complex scenarios.

His background in underwriting gives him what the lender described as a strong technical understanding of Norton’s proposition, helping brokers bring cases to completion.

The appointment follows the promotion of Laura Percival to head of lending in June, underlining the company’s focus on developing internal talent.

David Binney, head of sales at Norton Home Loans, said: “Jake’s progression through the business is a great example of the value of internal development.

“He’s grown his knowledge of both the operational and lending sides of Norton and now brings that experience into a role that’s all about relationships.

“Brokers will benefit from his energy, attention to detail, and his ability to cut through complexity.”

Stringer said: “I’ve been lucky to gain experience across different teams at Norton, and that’s given me a real understanding of what matters to brokers and underwriters alike.

“I’m excited to be working more closely with brokers and building longstanding relationships.”
