Railpen boosts property team with senior development manager appointment

Railpen has appointed Neil Crawford (pictured) as senior development manager in its property team.

Crawford has over 25 years’ experience in property development, joining Railpen from Legal & General where he worked on projects like The Beacon in Eastbourne, The Grafton Centre in Cambridge, and Dover St James in Dover.

Crawford will lead on the development of assets in Railpen’s UK portfolio, including Mill Yard in Cambridge, Cambridge Retail Park, 230 Newmarket Road and 12 Smithfield in London.

He will also oversee projects in the industrial portfolio, such as High Wycombe X and South Mimms X.

Crawford said: “Railpen has so many high quality schemes in its portfolio, and it is exciting to be part of a team that lives and breathes innovation, transformation, and quality.

“I have built strong experience across multiple assets in a variety of sectors, and this role is an ideal opportunity to utilise that knowledge to shape and deliver places that will create lasting value for not just the people in those developments, but Railpen’s members too.”

Matthew Howard, head of property at Railpen, said: “We have made some significant headway across our UK property portfolio this year, and this is only possible with an exceptional team to deliver our strategic objectives.

“Neil is a great addition to the property team, and his wealth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen and grow our portfolio to deliver sustainable returns for our members.”
