Landmark Properties has secured its first UK site in London, partnering with Centurion Corporation, a student accommodation provider.
The company has acquired land on William Road, central London, through the student property team at Knight Frank.
The site is set for a new development with 225 purpose-built student beds and amenity space.
Located in Zone 1, the site is within a 10-minute walk of University College London, Euston Station and Regent’s Park.
The project forms part of Landmark’s wider UK strategy, which includes more than 3,000 beds in the pipeline across prime regional cities and central London.
Wes Rogers, chairman and CEO of Landmark Properties, said: “Closing our first development deal in the UK represents a huge milestone for Landmark.
“We’re excited to bring much needed high-quality PBSA to the UK.”
Kong Chee Min, CEO of Centurion Corporation Limited, said: “We are pleased to partner with Landmark Properties on this strategic entry into London.
“Centurion brings deep operational experience and a strong track record in managing student accommodation, with a global PBSA footprint across the UK, Australia, the United States and China.
“Together with Landmark’s proven development expertise, we are excited to expand our operational excellence to London, our sixth city in the UK, and deliver a premium purpose-built student accommodation.”
The new development will include communal spaces and modern amenities aimed at students.
Rupert Strutt, partner in the student property team at Knight Frank, said: “Landmark’s debut UK investment is a significant cross-border play by one of the largest US student housing providers.
“Their entry into London is a significant vote of confidence in the sector’s resilience and long-term growth.
“There is a great appetite for well-located, high-quality schemes and overseas investors are particularly attracted to UK PBSA as the demand continues to outstrip supply.
“As we progress through 2025, the sector remains well-positioned for another year of robust investment.”
