Mercantile Trust updates products and criteria to widen eligibility

Mercantile Trust has announced a series of product and criteria changes designed to make its lending processes more efficient and accessible.

Key updates include lower bridging rates, the removal of Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) proof requirements, and acceptance of applicants still in probation who have at least six months of continuous employment.

The lender has also introduced internal legals for first charge remortgages under £100,000 – including unencumbered properties – across England, Wales, and Scotland.

Alongside the product updates, Mercantile Trust has launched new, clearer calculators with improved functionality and visibility of key criteria for each product.

The latest calculators and product matrices are available to download from the Mercantile Trust website.
