England footballers Beth Mead MBE and Lucy Bronze MBE are set to speak at the Personal Finance Society (PFS) National Conference in London next month.
The annual event will bring financial planning professionals from across the UK together for a day focused on tackling knowledge gaps in the industry.
Carla Brown, president of the PFS, will be joined by Mead and Bronze for a discussion about overcoming challenges in their careers.
The pair will talk about determination, resilience and ambition, aiming to encourage attendees to look for their own ‘marginal gains’ in their work.
There will be more than 25 sessions across five stages.
Topics will cover talent, advice, innovation and generation gaps in the sector, with technical experts on hand to discuss possible solutions.
Keynote speakers include Geoff Ramm, described as a customer service speaker, who will share thoughts on client retention.
Kate Tuckley from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will also speak.
The conference is scheduled for 13th November at ExCel London.
Attendees will get more than seven hours of continuing professional development (CPD) and entry is free for PFS members.
Session topics include building a business worth leaving, growing a company beyond £1m, planning your career as a financial planner, and a panel on the talent gap chaired by board member Edward Grant.
Brown said: “Our 2025 PFS National Conference line-up is truly exceptional! We are delighted to bring the profession together for an exciting day of learning and development.
“Attendees will benefit from outstanding speakers and practical sessions that will elevate their knowledge and ability to deliver great client outcomes.
“Having two of England’s phenomenal Lionesses join us is an absolute honour, and I’m excited to get the conversation with them started.”
