Carla Brown has been reappointed as president of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) for a second year, following a board meeting on 11th September.
Kathryn Gannon was named vice president at the same meeting.
Their appointments took effect after members ratified their election as board directors at the society’s AGM in Birmingham on 25th September.
Both appointments are subject to Brown and Gannon continuing as directors.
Brown will keep the focus on education for her second year.
Brown has played a key role in recent development initiatives, including a £1m investment in the Pathway to the Profession programme, the launch of a new Generation scheme, and ongoing work by the POWER panel.
Brown also acts as chair of the board.
Gannon has been a board director since February 2025.
Brown said: “It is an honour to be appointed president of the PFS for a second year.
“I remain deeply committed to supporting members in upholding the highest professional standards, and building public trust in the financial planning profession.
“As we look to the future, I am excited to build on the momentum we have created over the course of this year, with a continued focus on education and financial literacy.”
Gannon said: “I am delighted to take up the role of vice president of the PFS, working alongside my esteemed colleagues to serve our membership.
“It will be my pleasure to lend my continued support to the broad range of activity carried out by the PFS to promote professionalism within the financial planning community.”
