Propertymark launches Renters’ Rights toolkit

Propertymark has launched its Renters’ Rights Toolkit as the Renters’ Rights Bill is set to become law.

The toolkit is aimed at letting agents and property professionals in England, who are facing major changes to the private rented sector.

It includes four expert guides on the main changes, advice for the student rental market, ten updates for landlords and a quick guide for tenants.

There are also fact sheets and FAQs to help agents adapt their daily work.

Additionally, Propertymark is offering a training course called ‘Renters’ Rights Bill: what you need to know’, which covers the main areas the new law will affect.

The course is led by industry experts and is open for booking.

Propertymark has also made social media graphics for agents to share with landlords and tenants, tackling common myths about the new rules.

Nathan Emerson, CEO at Propertymark, said: “With the Renters’ Rights Bill now through Parliament, the countdown to Royal Assent has truly begun.

“This is the biggest overhaul of private renting we’ve seen in decades, and Propertymark’s focus is on ensuring that our members are equipped, confident, and ready.

“The Renters’ Rights Toolkit provides everything agents need to prepare their landlords and tenants, manage expectations, and stay compliant in this new era for the private rented sector.”

The toolkit and training are available to members only, along with discounted rates for courses.
