Survey Shack has launched Genie, a new service for its property inspection app, as part of its Premium package.
Genie gives buyers, sellers and estate agents access to a professional surveyor for post-inspection support, adding an extra layer to the app-guided inspection process.
The launch comes as the Government prepares to make sellers and estate agents give buyers more upfront information about a property, including its condition.
The aim is to reduce last-minute sale collapses caused by issues found late in the process.
The Genie service, available with the Premium package for under £100, lets users ask up to three specific questions to a surveyor after the inspection.
The surveyor responds within 48 hours, giving practical guidance based on the user’s report.
Brett Ray, founding partner and CEO of Survey Shack, said: “Requiring meaningful upfront information, including proportionate property condition details, helps buyers make informed offers and reduces late fall-throughs.
“Survey Shack was created to help today’s buyers and sellers, and to set the platform for how future generations will interact with condition inspections.
“Our digital tools that structure a property’s facts and images, together with Genie support offering a sensible route to professional follow up where needed, set a sale up for success from the start.”
