Wesleyan Group has appointed Faraz Tasnim as chief operating officer to support the next stage of its ambitious growth strategy.
Tasnim joined Wesleyan from Quilter in 2022 as group transformation director, bringing two decades of experience across transformation, commercial finance and consulting roles at Direct Line Group, Hastings Direct, Lloyds Banking Group and Rolls Royce.
He was promoted to group chief transformation officer in April 2024, joining the executive committee and taking responsibility for the company’s transformation agenda.
Over the past three years, he has led initiatives that have strengthened Wesleyan’s operational resilience, accelerated its digital transformation and improved both customer and colleague experience.
In his new role, Tasnim will focus on deepening Wesleyan’s relationships with its core customer base of doctors, teachers and dentists, while continuing to enhance the company’s investment and advice proposition and digital experience for members.
Tasnim succeeds David Stewart, who will leave Wesleyan at the end of 2025 after six-and-a-half years to take up a new position in the financial services sector.
Mario Mazzocchi, group chief executive at Wesleyan, said: “Faraz has been instrumental in evolving how we operate as a business, ensuring that our transformation continues to keep us rooted in delivering better outcomes and experiences for our customers.
“As chief operating officer, he will play a central role in ensuring our operating agenda continues to fully support our ambitious growth plans, as we work to deliver even greater value to our members, customers and colleagues.
“On behalf of all of us at Wesleyan including the Board, I’d like to thank David Stewart for his outstanding contribution to the business during his tenure as COO.
“Under his leadership, we’ve built a track record of operational excellence, successful change delivery and a strong foundation for further growth.
“We wish him every success as he embarks on his next role in the new year.”
