Access Financial Services has added 3mc to its mortgage panel, in a move that will see the packager added as an option for residential mortgage and buy-to-let deals to help Access FS advisers with more complex cases.
In October, Access FS launched its own specialist packager to focus on second charge, bridging loans, commercial mortgages and development finance.
Access FS says the aim is to give its advisers a choice outside of using internal resources – via the internal referral scheme, Access All Areas – or an external option.
Jeremy Morcumb, an Access FS mortgage and protection broker based in Fleet, said: “As a veteran broker, I think it’s great to have the option of doing these complex cases externally or via internal facilities.
“If you’ve been in the business for a while, you want some freedom of choice – you don’t want to feel stifled. Fortunately, that’s the Access FS culture.
“This is not a one-size-fits-all, it’s-our-way-or-the-highway sort of brokerage.
“3mc has a great mortgage desk, the sourcing tools and broker portal are both excellent and it offers hundreds of packager lender exclusive products. This is a win-win for mortgage advisers here.”
Nick Jones (pictured), the sales and mortgage director at Access FS, said: “We suspected that having the option of using an external packager might appeal to the sort of sophisticated, experienced advisers we work with now and who want to recruit in the future.
“We aim to embrace the way they want to work and help them grow. So, we spoke to our advisers about who they’ve dealt in the past and who they would recommend.
“Having engaged with our brokers, we listened to them: they told us they wanted to work with 3mc and we’ve made that happen.”
Michelle Tidman, a director of 3mc, added: “3mc is delighted to be working with the Access FS team and looking forward to providing some assistance to their brokers.
“Our specialist mortgage desk is ready and waiting.”
