Mortgage Brain and Lloyds launch first digital full mortgage application for Halifax

Mortgage Brain and Lloyds Banking Group have launched the first fully digital Full Mortgage Application (FMA) for Halifax submitted through Submissions Brain, removing the need for brokers to rekey customer data and significantly speeding up case processing.

Brokers, networks and users of integrated third-party CRMs can now move from sourcing to submission in a single workflow, with automatic data pre-population reducing errors and cutting around 30 minutes from each application.

The development followed Mortgage Brain’s unveiling of its new Submissions Brain module, which includes the industry’s first standardised Decision in Principle (DIP) form covering all participating lenders.

Submissions Brain allows brokers to capture and submit client data to lenders using one form and one login, with many lenders returning decisions directly through the system.

Brokers submitting a DIP to Halifax can now continue seamlessly to a full application.

The platform is available as a standalone module via the Mortgage Brain Hub, integrated within CRM Brain, or via API for third-party CRM providers.

Mortgage Brain says the benefits for brokers include simplified workflows, less time navigating multiple lender systems, and fully connected data across its wider system.

Lenders gain broader distribution through a single integration, reduced operational costs, and a more consistent broker experience.

Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain, said: “This partnership is not just defined by what we have delivered for the mortgage industry, which is revolutionary in itself.

“But it’s also about how we delivered it – through true partnership and collaboration.

“Mortgage Brain and Lloyds Banking Group have set a new standard for how lenders and technology providers can raise the bar together, delivering real benefits across the industry.”

Frances Cassidy, head of strategic and technology partnerships at Lloyds Banking Group, said: “Launching our first fully digital Full Mortgage Application with Mortgage Brain for Halifax marks a major milestone in that journey.

“By removing duplication and streamlining submissions, we’re enabling brokers to spend more time advising clients, while delivering quicker, more consistent decisions for customers.

“This collaboration reflects our broader ambition to drive innovation across the intermediary market, and demonstrates how strategic partnerships can unlock real value for the entire ecosystem.”
