Santander cuts selected mortgage rates, with new pricing from 3.55%

Santander has confirmed a fresh round of mortgage rate reductions, marking its third cut in November.

From Tuesday 18th November, the bank will lower fixed rates across its residential and buy-to-let new business and product transfer ranges by up to 0.29%.

The changes mean home mover rates will now start from 3.55%.

All products are available to customers applying through brokers or directly, in line with Santander’s no-dual-pricing commitment.

For home movers, Santander has reduced all 2-year fixed rates between 60% and 95% loan-to-value (LTV) by up to 0.14%, with rates beginning at 3.55%.

3-year fixed rates at the same LTV tiers have been reduced by up to 0.29% and now start from 3.60%.

5-year fixed rates have fallen by up to 0.09%, with pricing from 3.76%.

First-time buyers will see reductions of up to 0.14% on 2-year fixed products at 90% and 95% LTV, with rates starting at 4.28%.

5-year fixed rates at 85% and 95% LTV have been cut by up to 0.12% and start from 4.24%.

For residential remortgage customers, 2-year fixed rates between 60% and 90% LTV have been reduced by up to 0.14%, with pricing from 3.62%.

3-year fixed rates at 60% to 75% LTV now start at 3.80% following reductions of up to 0.12%.

5-year fixed rates across 60% to 90% LTV have been lowered by up to 0.11% and begin at 3.80%.

New-build home mover products mirror the reductions applied to the core home mover range, with 2-year fixed rates starting from 3.55%, 3-year from 3.60% and 5-year from 3.76%.

New-build first-time buyers will also see reductions identical to the main first-time buyer range, with 2-year fixes from 4.28% and 5-year fixes from 4.24%.

Buy-to-let purchase customers will benefit from reductions of up to 0.18% on 2-year fixed rates at 60% to 75% LTV, with pricing beginning at 3.80%.

5-year fixed rates at the same LTV tiers now start from 4.01% following cuts of up to 0.11%.

Buy-to-let remortgage applicants will see 2-year fixed rates reduced by up to 0.12%, starting from 3.77%, while 5-year fixed rates have been lowered by up to 0.09% and start from 3.94%.
