Middlesbrough-based valuation panel firm VAS has kicked off its annual Christmas Charity Campaign, renewing its commitment to supporting families and community organisations across Teesside.
The initiative has become a fixture in the company’s culture, bringing staff together to deliver tangible, local support throughout the festive season.
For 2025, VAS will be backing two frontline organisations rooted in the region: the CAUSE Foundation and Redcar Foodbank.
The CAUSE Foundation, a long-standing Teesside charity, creates personalised Christmas hampers for deprived families and individuals, providing food, essentials and thoughtful gifts to help ensure no one goes without over the holidays.
To support CAUSE’s efforts, VAS employees will once again take on the Hamper Challenge. Teams will use a joint £200 budget to assemble bespoke hampers for a nominated family and individual, guided by details provided by department heads to ensure the gifts are genuinely tailored.
A prize will be awarded to the standout hamper, adding a dose of festive competition.
All hampers will be delivered to the Riverside Stadium on 4th December.
VAS’s other chosen charity, Redcar Foodbank, continues to serve households across Redcar and East Cleveland with emergency food parcels and essential supplies for those experiencing hardship.
There will be a company-wide donation drive for Redcar Foodbank, and a collection box will be placed in the office for staff to contribute tinned foods, toiletries and small gifts.
VAS says its long-standing focus on community support is core to its identity and mission in the region.
Joely Clark, HR manager at VAS, said: “Our Christmas Charity Campaign is a key moment in our year.
“As a Middlesbrough-based business, supporting local families and communities is incredibly important to us.
“We’re proud to stand alongside CAUSE Foundation and Redcar Foodbank—two organisations doing exceptional work across Teesside—and we can’t wait to see the generosity and creativity from our teams once again.”
