LMS has expanded its lender network by partnering with Penrith Building Society, which will now use its Panel Link service for purchase and remortgage cases.
Founded in 1877, Penrith Building Society will gain access to a panel of vetted law firms that meet security, quality and compliance standards, helping to create a more connected and secure conveyancing process.
Panel Link gives lenders access to a range of LMS tools, including Secure Link and Charge Registration.
Secure Link supports post-offer communication between lenders and law firms by providing approved answers to common queries and enabling secure messaging when further clarification is needed.
LMS said this reduces reliance on less secure communication methods and helps speed up key stages of the conveyancing journey.
Penrith will also use LMS’s Charge Registration monitoring service, which receives updates directly from HM Land Registry to cut back-and-forth communication with law firms and streamline completion processes.
LMS said the combined services will support the building society in delivering an efficient and stress-free experience for customers.
Suzanne O’Connor, chief relationship officer at LMS, said: “As always, we are thrilled to be collaborating with another lender, bringing them on board our Panel Link service so that they can benefit from our extensive experience.
“Penrith Building Society offers accessible products to their customers, and we are happy to support them in delivering excellent customer choice and reducing risk in an ever-changing market.”
Zack Hocking, CEO at Penrith Building Society, added: “Although we’ve evolved over the years, we still keep our members at the heart of everything we do; by partnering with LMS, we can help speed up the conveyancing journey for customers, whether they’re buying or remortgaging.
“Additionally, by connecting with fully vetted law firms, we can continue to strengthen our reputation as being a Society that people can trust and have confidence in.”
