Portus Supported Housing launched following the merger of BeST (Bespoke Supportive Tenancies) and Westmoreland Supported Housing on 1st December 2025.
The voluntary merger brings together two lease-based supported housing organisations.
Portus now manages 2,340 homes across England and Wales.
The merger aims to strengthen support for customers, improve consistency and reliability of services, and invest in staff and systems that help individuals live independently.
Following the merger, Portus has begun doubling the number of surveying staff, increasing housing officers and support roles, investing in staff training and development, and improving the repairs service.
The organisation is focused on providing safe homes, reliable support and positive outcomes for all customers.
