Prestige Underwriting and insurtech provider Urban Jungle have announced a new partnership to deliver non-standard home insurance through Urban Jungle’s digital platform.
Under the agreement, Urban Jungle has launched the Prestige Underwriting Coverall policy under the “Select by Urban Jungle” brand.
The move will allow customers with non-standard home insurance needs to obtain cover seamlessly via Urban Jungle’s digital channels and website, significantly broadening the firm’s home insurance proposition.
Founded in 2016, Urban Jungle has grown into a major online insurance provider, supporting more than 300,000 customers across the UK.
The business focuses on technology-led delivery, offering transparent pricing, an online quote journey and flexible monthly payment options.
Until now, Urban Jungle’s home insurance offering has been centred on standard risks, delivered in partnership with established underwriters and affinity partners.
The collaboration with Prestige Underwriting marks a strategic move into the non-standard market, enabling the brand to serve customers with more complex or atypical insurance requirements.
Prestige Underwriting brings more than 20 years’ experience in non-standard risk and will underwrite both buildings and contents cover through its flexible Coverall product.
This includes properties with non-standard construction, prior subsidence, unoccupied or let homes, and other risks often declined by mainstream insurers.
The partnership will also draw on Prestige Underwriting’s data enrichment and address-level rating methodologies, supporting more precise underwriting, pricing and risk selection.
Both firms said this approach will improve quotability and confidence in underwriting decisions.
Urban Jungle expects the collaboration to significantly increase its quotability, allowing it to convert a greater proportion of inbound demand and strengthen its position in the digital home insurance market.
For Prestige Underwriting, the partnership provides a new route to market via a tech-led distribution partner and is expected to drive additional quote volumes in non-standard personal lines.
